Residents of Fairview are working together to reinvigorate a sense of community and safety in their neighborhoods through a more formal neighborhood watch program. Monthly meetings have been established for concerned citizens to gather together to discuss how they can be a positive, organizing force in their particular neighborhoods. The goal of the program is to create connections among neighbors, reduce crime through education and environmental design, receive training modules from law enforcement, and learn how, as citizens, to deter or respond to crimes. The citizen-led meetings will be held each third Tuesday of the month at City Hall in the Heslin Conference Room on the first floor. Come and learn how you can make a difference in your neighborhood!
