Digital Assistance Pilot Program

Program Background:

The City of Fairview will use a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) State and Local Financial Relief Funds (SLFRF) to address the digital divide in its community through the creation of the City of Fairview Digital Assistance Pilot Program (DAPP), which will utilize up to $24,000 of those funds over one calendar year—beginning with the full implementation of the program in March 2022—to help low-income residents access the internet via connected devices and afford broadband internet service.

There are three primary ways the City of Fairview Digital Assistance pilot program will attempt to address these issues:

  1. By directing residents towards available state and federal internet service bill assistance funding—including the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).
  2. By providing supplemental internet service bill assistance to residents for whom state and federal funding is not sufficient.
  3. By providing internet-connected computers to eligible residents who do not currently own one.

The City of Fairview Digital Assistance program will be administered by the City of Fairview COVID-19 Response Specialist, who may be reached by calling (971) 334-5344 or emailing midgleyn@ci.fairview.or.us
